After diving for a while you probably won`t get a big kick from just looking at fish anymore. So you start looking around for other interesting things lying hidden under the sea. And that's how it all started with me.
I got my licence in 1986 (CMAS **). Since then, I have mostly been active as a wreckdiver. In spring 1998 I got my IANTD Notrox diver certeficate.
When you live in a place like Narvik in Norway, it is difficult to ignore all the WW II wrecks scattered around in the cold waters of Northern Norway. The wreckdiving hobby combines with my interest in history. Especially the WW II history.
I have dived several times om many of these wrecks. The map shows only the military boats that were sunk in Narvik. I would practically run out of space on the map if I included all the civilian boats too.
Here you can see some historical pictures!
You can also read the whole exiting story about the sinking
of the two Norwegian destroyers, Norge and Eidsvold. Read
about the following battles on the 10th of April and 13th of April 1940.
